Health and Safety

We take the subject of Health & Safety extremely seriously. All our operatives are either CSCS or CITB CS skills trained and they all hold emergency first aid at work certificates.

Certain individuals are also trained MEWP IPAF operators & fork lift trained and we undertake periodical training.

Whilst we have our own ‘in house’ quality manual, we are currently looking into obtaining ISO 9001 accreditation.

Health and Safety Policy Statement

This Company Safety Policy is issued by the Management in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and other relevant legislation and meet the standards required to protect all employees and any persons likely to be affected by our work operations.

The objective of this policy is to maintain high standards of health and safety performance throughout the company and the standards expected of employees and sub-contractors who undertake work on our behalf.

Hazards will always be present, however the risk of injury, disease or dangerous occurrence will be minimised by the achievement and maintenance of high standards of health and safety. These standards will be attained, so far as is reasonably practicable, by:

Provide safety information, instruction, training and supervision with adequate budget and resources made available as is necessary to ensure safe systems of work.

Provide adequate arrangements for the regular assessment of work activities in order to identify associated hazards and the control of potential risks.

Provide arrangements for the safe use, handling, storage, transportation and disposal of articles and substances.

Maintenance of the workplace under the control of the company, that is safe and without risk to health, and the provision and maintenance of means of access to and egress from the premises.

The provision and maintenance of working environments that are without risk to health with regard to first aid, fire prevention and control, welfare facilities for all employees.

Provide adequate personal protective clothing and equipment to all employees.

The co-operation of employees, sub-contractors and other person’s commitment to company safety procedures to enable statutory obligations to be met.

A visible management commitment to higher standards of health and safety achieved through monitoring performance and the continuous improvement of the health and safety culture throughout the company.

The Directors of the Company believe that safe systems of work can only be maintained by constant monitoring, education of safe working practices and procedures to ensure continuous improvement of Health and Safety performance throughout the Organisation.

This policy will be kept up to date, particularly where business changes occur, and will be reviewed annually.

Quality Policy Statement

It is the policy of Totalair H & V Limited to provide quality products and services, which will give complete customer satisfaction throughout the design, manufacture, and installation process, including statutory and regulatory requirements.

We recognise that the continued success of the Totalair H & V Limited is dependent upon a firm commitment by all employees, suppliers and sub-contractors to comply with our customer’s requirements and to continually improve the effectiveness of the quality management system.

The aim of this policy is to reduce the level of non-conformances by 5% per annum by the continuous development of our products and services. Additional company set quality objectives may be identified and recorded in Management Review meetings.

Totalair H & V Limited is fully committed to providing quality assurance products to ensure total customer satisfaction that will enable the organisation to sustain future growth.

To this end we shall maintain and operate a quality system that conform to the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001: 2008.
